The Old Post Office Pavillion, centrally located between the U.S. Capitol and the White House, is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. This is a historic building with locally owned gift stores and shops. It is an ideal place to pick up souvenirs, postcards, and gifts. The Old Post Office Pavillon ranks number 8 in Washington DC's top attractions.

Georgetown is located across the Francis Scott Key Bridge, north of the Potomac River. This is an upscale neighborhood with trendy shops as well as stores like Ralph Lauren Polo Store, The Gap, and Urban Outfitters. Shoppers can also go to Georgetown Park, the local mall in the area. There are about 100 stores selling men, women and children fashions, accessories, books, music, cards, etc.

National Place
National Place is a shopping mall located in the National Press Club Building, near the National Theatre Freedom Plaza. It's one of Washington DC's busiest and best-known top tourist attractions. The retail stores are open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. There are more than 100 specialty shops, including a Macy's, selling a variety of items on three different levels.

DC USA Shopping Center is a large three-level retail complex. You can shop at Marshalls, Best Buy, Staples, Target, The Children's Place, Bed Bath & Beyond, and others. DC USA Shopping Center is located in Columbia Heights and located near the Columbian Heights Metro station.

Eastern Market
Eastern Market is a flea market located at the Hine School Yard open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. every Sunday. Select exhibitors showcase a variety of arts, crafts, antiques, and collectibles. Eastern Market is a great place for picking up a few souvenirs to take back on the trip home.
